Sweet Little Granny Sweater

Fiz esta camisola em crochet para acabar com o resto da lã Ice Yarns Baby Wool Print que tinha sobrado de um poncho, gorro e romeirinha. 

 This is just a little granny sweater I have crocheted to finish up the Ice Yarns Baby Wool Print I had left from a granny poncho, hat and shrug.  

Não tomei notas à medida que a fui fazendo, por isso não tenho as instruções, mas basicamente é composta por dois quadrados (granny squares) cosidos até metade de cada lado, deixando a outra metade aberta para as mangas. 

 I didn't take notes while I was crocheting this little sweater, so I don't have a written pattern for it, but basically the body is made of two granny squares sewed halfway in each side, leaving the other half open for the armholes.

As mangas são feitas em círculo e o decote é debruado com ponto baixo e fechado com 3 botões de cada lado, com 3 conchas a servir de casas para os botões. A parte de baixo e as mangas são debruadas com conchas.

  The sleeves are all worked in the round and the collar has a single crochet edging and is closed with three buttons in each side, with three shells that work as buttonholes. The bottom and sleeves have a shell edging. 

O tamanho desta camisola é deterrminado pelo tamanho dos dois quadrados, por isso é muito fácil de adaptar. 

 The size of this sweater is determined by the size of the two granny squares, so it is very easily adapted.

Nesta, as mangas são mais curtas e trabalhadas em meio ponto alto. 

 In this one, the sleeves are shorter and worked in half double crochet.

Fica muito bem por cima de uma T-shirt de mangas compridas, nos dias mais frescos de Primavera, e devo dizer que adoro estas cores garridas. São uma alegria!

 It looks great over a long sleeve T-shirt, for those cooler Spring days, and I really like these vibrant colors. What a joy!

Sweet Little Granny Poncho - Poncho Colorido em Crochet

Depois do gorro em crochet da semana passada, não resisti a fazer um poncho a condizer. 

After my Sweet Little Granny Hat, I just couldn't say no to a matching granny poncho.

Já tinha visto vários exemplos deste modelo na internet, e acabei por seguir as instruções em inglês da Angie em Le Monde de Sucrette, e em português da Sónia Maria em Falando de Crochet. É muito fácil de fazer e acho que ambas as instruções são bastante claras.

There are many patterns of these ponchos on the internet, but I ended up following Angie's pattern on Le Monde de Sucrette (in English), and Sónia Maria's on Falando de Crochet (in Portuguese).  This is a very simple pattern and I think both tutorials are very clear.

 

Para a minha filha de 18 meses, fiz uma corrente com 64 pontos e trabalhei 26 voltas no total. Terminei debruando com 5 pontos altos nos intervalos entre os grupos de 3 pontos altos e um ponto baixíssimo no ponto alto do meio do grupo de 3 pontos altos seguinte. Na abertura para a cabeça, fiz uma volta em ponto baixo e depois novamente 5 pontos altos no mesmo ponto, saltei 3 pontos, 1 ponto baixíssimo, saltei 3 pontos, 5 pontos altos no mesmo ponto, até ao fim da volta. 

For my 18 months daughter, I started with chain 64 and worked 26 rows. I finnished with a shell edging: 5 double crochets on the gaps between the 3 double crochet clusters and slip stitch on the midle double crochet of the next 3 double crochet cluster, to the end of row. On the head opening I crocheted a row of single crochet and then the shell edging again: 5 double crochets on the same stitch, skip 3 stitches, slip stitch, 5 double crochets on the same stitch, to the end of row.

Depois fiz um cordão com flores nas pontas para depois passar na abertura para a cabeça.

Then I made a tie with flowers to pass through the head opening.

É um modelo tão simples e tão prático! Utilizei lã Ice Yarns Baby Wool Print, a condizer com o gorro, e uma agulhs de crochet de 5mm.

This pattern is so easy and practical! I used Ice Yarns Baby Wool Print, to match my Sweet Little Granny Hat, and a 5mm hook.

Ficou um conjunto muito colorido!!!

Acho que fiquei viciada nesta técnica, já tenho mais algumas ideias para por em prática...

Mommy's Hugs Shrug Free Crochet Pattern - Romeirinha em Crochet Instruções Passo a Passo

Este livro de lavores, A Enciclopédia da Agulha da coleção Laura Santos, era da minha querida avó, provavelmente dos anos 50 (apesar de não ter data). Ao folheá-lo, vi este modelo de uma romeirinha em tricot que achei uma doçura. A ideia de fazer uma destas romeirinhas em crochet para a minha filha não me saiu mais da cabeça. Depois de algumas tentativas falhadas, criei este modelo - e acabei por fazer três em vez de uma!

É um modelo extremamente simples que pode ser facilmente adaptado a qualquer tamanho. Nas romeirinhas que fiz, coloquei cordões em crochet para atar, na branca com umas florzinhas nas pontas, mas também se pode coser botões ou fitas de cetim como no modelo original, num toque vintage.

É um modelo muito feminino que fica uma delícia por cima de um vestidinho. É muito quentinho, por ser traçado, e com os cordões atados à medida fica bem aconchegadinho!

Desta vez ilustrei as instruções com fotografias. Uma imagem vale mil palavras, pelo menos é o que dizem...

This vintage book, A Enciclopédia da Agulha (Needlework Encyclopedia) by Laura Santos, belonged to my dear grandmother, probably from the fifties (although it's not dated). Leafing through it, I saw this absolutely sweet knitting pattern. The idea of making one of these in crochet for my daughter never left my mind again. After some blotched attempts, I designed this crochet pattern, and ended up with three of these shrugs, instead of one!

This is an extremely simple pattern that can easily be adapted to any size. The shrugs shown here have crochet ties, the white one with little flowers, but you can also sew buttons or satin ribbons like shown in the original pattern, for a vintage look.

This is a very girly shrug, simply adorable with a little dress. It's very warm, as it is crossed in the front, and tied up to fit very snuggly!

This time I've added some photos to the tutorial. A picture is worth a thousand words, at least that's what they say...

Nestas instruções, a versão portuguesa e inglesa estão pouco misturadas por causa das fotografias. A versão inglesa está em itálico. Não encontrei uma maneira melhor de apresentação.

Instruções Passo a Passo/Tutorial

Estas instruções passo a passo referem-se ao modelo multicolor, para 12/18 meses.
This tutorial is for the multicolored shrug, for a 12/18 months size.

Material
Agulha de crochet 5mm/5mm crochet hook
1 novelo de 50g/50g skein Ice Yarns Baby Wool Print
Agulha para coser lã/Tapestry needle

Execução/Tutorial
Fazer uma corrente com 30 pontos + 1 para voltar. Mpa (meio ponto alto) até ao fim da 2ª volta, 1 corrente, voltar.
1 mpa no primeiro ponto, 2 mpa no 2º ponto, mpa nos restantes pontos até ao penúltimo, 2 mpa no penúltimo ponto, 1 mpa no último ponto, 1 corrente, voltar.

Nota ( 26 de Janeiro de 2013) - a corrente feita no fim de cada volta antes de virar não conta como ponto, costumo fazer assim para um acabamento mais bonito.

Chain 30 +1 to turn. Hdc to the end of 2nd row, ch1 turn.
Hdc on 1st st, hdc to st before the last st, 2 hdc in st before the last st, hdc in last st, ch1, turn.

Note (26th January 2013) - The ch1 at the end of each row before turning doesn't count as a stitch. It's for a neater edging.

 2 mpa no 2º ponto/2 hdc in 2nd st

2 mpa no penúltimo ponto/2 hdc in st before the last st.

 Repetir estes aumentos no segundo e penúltimo ponto de cada volta até o trabalho ter 17 voltas, 62 pontos, 1 corrente e voltar.

Agora vai dividir os pontos deixando 25 para cada lado e 12 ao centro para o decote. Esta proporção de cerca de 40%, 20%, 40% é que vai permitir adaptar este modelo a qualquer tamanho. Basta aumentar a corrente de base em múltiplos de 10 e contar mais 4 pontos de cada lado e 2 pontos no decote por cada 10 pontos da corrente que aumentar. Por exemplo, para uma corrente de 40 pontos (30+10) vai ter mais 4 pontos de cada lado e 2 no decote, ou seja, 25+4=29, 12+2=14, 25+4=29, num total de 72 pontos ao fim das 17 voltas. Espero que me tenha feito entender.

Vai começar a trabalhar apenas um dos lados da romeirinha e a fazer as diminuições do decote da parte da frente. 25 Mpa, 1 corrente, virar. 1 mpa no 1º ponto, juntar o 2º e 3º pontos numa diminuição de mpa como mostra a fotografia.

Repeat these hdc increases on 2nd st and the st before the last until you have 17 rows, 62 st, ch1, turn.
Now you'll divide the st, 25 on each side and 12 in the middle, for the neck. This 40%, 20%, 40% rate will allow you to adapt this pattern to any size.Just increase your base ch by multiples of 10 and count 4 more st in each side and 2 more in the middle for each 10 ch added. For example, for a base ch of 40 st (30+10) you'll have 4 more st on each side and 2 more in the middle, that is, 25+4=29, 12+2=14, 25+4=29, 72 st in the 17th row. I hope I've made myself clear.
You'll work only one side of the shrug now, decreasing on the inside of the front (neck). 25 Hdc, ch1, turn. Hdc on the 1st st, crochet the 2nd and 3rd hdc together (hdc decrease) like shown in the photo.

 Deixar os dois laços na agulha/leave both loops on the hook

 Começar a fazer mpa no 3º ponto/ yarn over, start your hdc on the 3rd st

e puxar todos de uma vez/pull all 4 loops through. 

Continuar em mpa até ao fim, 1 corrente, virar. Agora vai fazer a diminuição juntando o antepenúltimo e o penúltimo pontos numa diminuição de mpa, 1 corrente e voltar. Repita estas duas carreiras até ficar apenas com um ponto, cortar a lã e puxar.

Repita todo este procedimento para o outro lado, ao contrário, para fazer as diminuições sempre do lado de
dentro do decote. Em vez de cortar a lã continue com 30 correntes+3 para fazer o cordão e feche na 3ª corrente com um ponto baixíssimo para formar uma argola. Agora vai começar a fazer a flor. 1 ponto baixíssimo dentro da argola, 1 mpa, 1 pa, 1 mpa, 1 ponto baixíssimo, sempre dentro da argola. Uma pétala já está feita, repita mais 4 vezes para fazer 5 pétalas no total e feche com um ponto baixíssimo no primeiro ponto baixíssimo. Percorra as bordas das pétalas com pontos baixíssimos até chegar ao cordão e continue com 1 ponto baixíssimo em cada corrente até chegar à parte lateral da romeirinha.

Hdc to end of row, ch1, turn. Now, hdc decrease by crocheting the stitch 2 st before the last and the st before the last together (hdc decrease), ch1, turn. repeat these two rows until you have only one st left, cut yarn and bind off.
Repeat this whole procedure for the other side, reverse, always decreasing on the inside (neck). Don't cut yarn, make ch30+3 for the tie and join in the round on the 3rd ch to make the flower. Sl st inside ring, hdc, dc, hdc, sl st, always inside the ring. You've crocheted a petal, repeat 4 more times to make 5 petals and end with a sl st on first sl st. Sl st through the outside of petals until you reach the ch, sl st through end of ch.

 2 pétalas, agora insira a agulha na argola do outro lado da corrente/2 petals, now insert hook in the ring on other side of ch

Acabar a 5ª pétala com um ponto baixíssimo no 1º ponto baixíssimo/finnish the last petal with a sl st on the first sl st.

Percorrer as bordas das pétalas com pontos baixíssimos até chegar à corrente/sl st through the outside of petals until you reach the ch

 Continuar com 1 ponto baixíssimo em cada ponto da corrente/sl st throuugh the end of chain

Agora vai começar a fazer o contorno com ponto baixo, repetindo o cordão com a flor nos 4 cantos da romeirinha, 2 à frente e 2 atrás. Remate as pontas com a agulha para coser lã. E já está!

Now sc through edging, repeating the tie with flower on the 4 corners, 2 in the front and 2 in the back. Bind off and weave in ends. It's done!
